Our mission is simple: to shine a spotlight on up-and-coming musicians while celebrating established favorites. From synthpop and futurepop to dark wave and beyond, we bring you a seamless mix of past classics, underground gems, and fresh new sounds that push the genre forward.
At SynthPop Radio, we encourage musicians to submit their work and become part of our growing community of creators and fans. Whether you’re drawn to retro ’80s vibes or cutting-edge synth-driven tracks, we deliver an immersive listening experience while helping emerging artists reach new audiences. Plug in, turn up the synths, and be part of a movement that champions the future of synth music.
Alongside rising talent, we feature some of the most iconic names in the scene, including VNV Nation, AccroGeist, Solitary Experiments, FCH, Neuroticfish, Felix Marc, Liya, Solar Fake, Arctic Sunrise, and The Frozen Autumn.
The roots of SynthPop Radio go back to my teenage years. Back then, a group of friends and I created our very first radio station: the 44 Radio Network. It was a place to experiment, share music, and have fun—no genre focus yet, just a little bit of everything. Those early days were full of great memories.
A couple of years later, we rebranded as Global X Radio, running a more polished station with professional IDs, stingers, and even live-streams from clubs around Philadelphia. We focused on industrial, EBM, and synthpop—exciting times indeed. But as friends moved on, I stayed behind, keeping the music alive and the station running.
Eventually, I decided to rename the station SynthPop Radio, giving it a clear genre focus. With synthpop, dark wave, and the darker side of futurepop at the forefront, the station truly took off.
Today, SynthPop Radio continues to bring you the latest in synthpop, dark wave, and futurepop, blending timeless classics with cutting-edge sounds. It’s still a small station, mostly funded by me, VcLorn, but with big goals: to keep the spirit of electronic music alive and connect fans and creators from around the world.
